About the Study Group
Study Group is like a book club, but it’s okay if you don’t read the book 🙂 Come talk about the intersection of ideas and practice in mutual aid networks!
We currently meet on an ad-hoc basis.
Archive of Past Topics
- Study Group List – here’s a list of previous topics, if you want to check out some of what have been discussed!
- Reading Repository – similar to the doc above, but a lil bit older.
More Resources to Learn about Mutual Aid
- Mutual Aid Toolkit! A handy crash course in mutual aid, including videos as well as notes with timestamps if you prefer to read. 🙂
- What’s the difference between mutual aid and charity? A handy chart, by the GOAT Dean Spade!

- [Virtual] Wed., Feb. 11th, 7-8:30PM – We’ll be reading and discussing the first chapter of Before AIDs: Gay Health Politics in the 1970s and The Crimson’s article, “Can Fenway Health Meet the Moment?” for a past and present look at mutual aid health clinics and community care, or lack thereof (using an example from our own backyard!). All are welcome, whether you’ve read some or none of the materials.
